Jenny Powell has written six individual collections of poetry and has worked with other poets to produce two collaborative collections. Her work can be found in a variety of national and international publications. In 2015 Powell presented her first theatrical work, Montecillo Child, at Toitu Settlers Museum, as part of the Gallipoli Centennial commemorations. In 2016 Otago University Press published her non-fiction book The Case of the Missing Body which became NZ Book of the Month. Alive in Berlin, a multimedia work that mixes spoken word - poetry, prose and one-person dialogues - with projected images and new music compositions, featured at the Dunedin Fringe Festival.
